Determine if gravidarum hyperemesis is a risk factor associated to preterm delivery at Regional Trujillo Hospital. Methods: Was conduced a analitic, observational, retrospective, cases and controls investigation. The study population was conformed for 232 pregnants women inclusion and exclusion criteries distributed in 2 groups: with or without preterm delivery. Results: The frequency gravidarum hyperemesis of between with and without preterm delivery disease were 14% y 4% respectively. Gravidarum hyperemesis odss ratio related to preterm delivery was 4.68 (p<0.05). The averages of gestational age in the group with and without gravidarum hyperemesis were 37.6 y 38.7 weeks respectively (p<0.05). Conclusions: Gravidarum hyperemesis is a risk factor associated to preterm delivery at Regional Trujillo Hospital. The average of gestational age in pregnants with gravidarum hyperemesis is significatively minor thanthe average of pregnants without gravidarum hyperemesis.
