This thesis is based on the calculation of scour depth considering different distances between cross sections using the software Hec - Ras. The design took into account the ideal case of a channel flow where the section and slope was constant, and a real case where Socsi Bridge located in the district of Lunahuana analyzed - Cañete, Lima For the development of the thesis first step was to realize the ideal case where the program is directly used Hec - Ras, for the real case the AutoCAD Civil 3D was used for contour modeling, application of different sectioning for exported back to Hec - Ras. As expected, the isolation was very influential for calculating scour, in the ideal case varied almost linearly where he peaks in the switching 200m decline in isolation 10m, the scour at abutments were the same as the channel is of constant section. The switching in the real case had several variations, where some sectioning were not adequate, so for this reason some data were discarded, and concluded that isolation was the best that was between 50 and 25 meters.
