The present research had as main objective to determine the association between facial pattern and academic performance in school 12-17 years old. Continued or prospective, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional design and was conducted on 225 students of educational institutions Casa Grande and Archimedes district Large (117 and 98 students respectively, 135 women and 90 men) in the province Trujillo, La Libertad department in 2013. facial pattern in pattern I, II, III, long face and short face and academic performance and process (less than or equal to 15 rating) and outstanding (greater than or equal to 16 rating) He qualified. The frequency of facial pattern and the overall association was assessed by sex and according to school The results showed statistically significant association between facial pattern and academic performance, appreciating higher academic performance in process (score of 15 to less) with 68.98% marks. The frequency of facial patterns, increased frequency of pattern 1 was observed with 65.78%. Statistically significant association between facial pattern and academic performance in females and in the public institution was found. We conclude that the association between facial pattern and academic performance in school 12-17 years old there.
