The judicial maintenance process is one of the judicial processes with the most procedural burden at the level of the superior courts of justice throughout the country. This process seeks to ensure the right of infants to food. Thus, this right is maintained during the minor's childhood until he or she reaches the age of majority, and it can be extended as long as he or she meets the requirements established in the civil code. As we see, the institution of food in our civil code and code for children and adolescents has been correctly protected; However, it is well known that there are still legal gaps that the legislator has not taken into account, and in other cases it happens that during the reality in which the norm was developed it was not presented. Thus, one of these cases refers to the proper administration of child support for minors. In this regard, there are countless situations where the procedural actors (who belong to different social strata) are harmed by the mismanagement of the counterpart to the alimony payments granted by the former in favor of their minor children. What is indicated in the preceding lines is the common denominator of this group of cases, where the mismanagement of economic resources is taken advantage of by the parent who has custody of the minor or by third parties, among whom may include: half-siblings, the parent's current partner, or other relatives who are closely linked to the parent. In this sense, through this study we seek to establish the necessary criteria that allow us to verify that the parent who is in charge of the custody of the minor, specifically administers the alimony correctly and benefits the minor or minors
