Personalidad y adicción a internet en estudiantes de secundaria de dos instituciones educativas del distrito Rázuri

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación propuso como objetivo la relación entre la personalidad y la adicción a internet, mediante un diseño transversal, de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Se evaluó a 254 alumnos, de ambos sexos, 72 varones y 92 mujeres entre 11 y 15 años de edad (M=13.04), de dos instituciones educativas de Rázuri, a quienes se les administró el Cuestionario de personalidad para Niños y Adolescentes (EPQ-J) creado por Hans Eysenck y Sybil Eysenck y la Escala de adicción a Internet propuesta por Lam (2011). Los resultados indican que existe una correlación altamente significativa entre las dimensiones de neuroticismo (r=.526, p<.01) y psicoticismo (r=.441, p<.01) de la personalidad y la adicción a internet; por otro lado se halló que no existe correlación significativa entre la dimensión extraversión (r=.016, p>.05) y la adicción a internet.

The present research work aimed at the relationship between personality and internet addiction, through a cross - sectional, descriptive and correlational design.
