In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the health sectors worldwide were forced to act quickly, and to make initial decisions to face the growing number of COVID-19 cases, which saturated and pushed the limits of the human and material resources that each establishment had. It is important to analyze how the hospital production of each service and medical specialty was affected in the context of the pandemic that we are still facing. Objectives: To determine if there is a difference in hospital production in outpatient consultation, hospitalization and emergencies, between the periods 2018-2019 y 2020-2021, at Hospital I Florencia de Mora - EsSalud. Materials and Methods: Observational, longitudinal and retrospective study. Three service producing units of Hospital I Florencia de Mora - EsSalud were evaluated, likewise for each producing unit the production in each of the areas offered was evaluated. Comparisons were made between the years 2018 and 2021, seeking to calculate the percentages of increase or decrease in care and establish significant differences between them. Statistical analysis was run in STATA v.14. Results: Hospital production increased in the emergency service (208%) and decreased in outpatient services (50.1%) and hospitalization (58.9%) in the 2020-2021 biennium. In the emergency service, the medicine area showed a 7-fold increase in its production compared to the 2018-2019 period. Despite the global reduction in the number of hospitalized patients, an increase in hospitalization production of 39.3% (p<0.01) was reported in the medicine area.
