The research focuses on understanding and analyzing the hydraulic behavior in the headwaters of the Quebrada San Idelfonso basin, located in Trujillo, Peru. The study involves the collection of hydraulic and geomorphological data to characterize the topography and other relevant elements that influence water flow. Advanced hydraulic modeling techniques are employed to simulate and predict flow behavior under different conditions, considering factors such as precipitation and possible changes in land use. Additionally, statistical analyzes are carried out to evaluate hydraulic variability and possible critical points or risk areas are identified at the head of the basin. The results obtained contribute to a comprehensive understanding of hydraulic processes in this specific region, offering valuable information for sustainable water management and territorial planning. Likewise, the findings may have important implications for mitigating risks associated with extreme events, such as floods or droughts, in Quebrada San Idelfonso and surrounding areas. This detailed hydraulic analysis provides a solid scientific basis for informed decision making in water resources management and development planning in the Trujillo region, Peru
