In this research work, the realization of the STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF RIGID PAVEMENT OF THE MAIN AVENUE JULIAN ARCE, DISTRICT OF LAREDO, LA LIBERTAD; in order to achieve better accessibility and walkability for the population of Laredo and as a consequence provide them with better social benefits. The current situation of the section with flexible pavement of Av Julian Arce, is totally in poor condition, this is due to the little or almost no maintenance that is given to the avenue; and being precisely the main avenue of the Laredo district, it should have a better composition and type of structure; Due to this, it is extremely important and necessary to contribute to the design proposed in the present investigation for this avenue. In this project, the design of the rigid pavement was developed, taking into account the recommendations established in the Highway Manual: Soils Geology, Geotechnics and Pavements. These recommendations were used to determine the thicknesses of each of the layers that make up the rigid pavement. Various engineering studies have been carried out, such as soil mechanics analysis, which revealed that the soil consists of poorly graded sand with no plasticity. In addition, it was identified that the subgrade has a CBR index of 8.00%. Likewise, a traffic study was carried out that showed a number of repetitions of equivalent axles of 8.2 tons with a value of 2,810,000 EE (Axle Equivalents). The structural design of the rigid pavement yielded the following results: it is recommended to use a concrete slab with a thickness of 8 inches or 20.32 centimeters, together with a subbase of 15 centimeters. We propose as objective the elaboration of the structural design of the rigid pavement for the accessibility and passability of the av. Julián Arce from the district of Laredo, achieving a better quality of life and tranquility for the inhabitants of the district.
