The present investigation was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between the level and moment of diagnosis of anemia with the level of severity of preeclampsia in pregnant women treated at the Tomas La Fora Hospital, from 2015 to 2016 years, in a non-experimental, retrospective and correlational study, through the documentary analysis of 301 clinical histories in which a data collection card was applied to 45 cases of pregnant with preeclampsia and 256 without preeclampsia. Finding as results that the level of severity of preeclampsia was 71.1% mild and 28.9% severe; the prevalence of anemia was 26.9%, of which 90.1% had mild anemia and 9.9% moderate anemia, 81.5% was diagnosed in the III trimester and 18.5% in the II trimester. When evaluating the relationship between variables, a statistically significant relationship was found between the prevalence of anemia and level of severity of preeclampsia (p <0.001), the level of anemia and the severity level of preeclampsia (p <0.001), and the time of diagnosis of anemia and the level of severity of preeclampsia (p <0.001). Concluding that, the level and moment of diagnosis of anemia is statistically related to the level of severity of preeclampsia.
