The present cross-sectional correlational descriptive research work had the purpose of determining if there is a relationship between knowledge and attitude towards the human papilloma virus in secondary school adolescents of the Fe y Alegría educational institution, La Esperanza 2022, for the collection of data, two questionnaires were applied to 136 students of the educational institution, obtaining as a result that adolescents presented a high level of knowledge in 47.79%, 43.38% presented a medium level and 8.82% a low level; In relation to the attitude towards the HPV virus, 91.91% of adolescents had a favorable attitude and 8.09% an unfavorable attitude. According to knowledge and attitude in adolescents, 47.79% presented high knowledge and a favorable attitude; the average knowledge and a favorable attitude is found at 39.71; On the other hand, the students who presented low knowledge, only 4.41% presented a favorable attitude. It was possible to determine that there is a high statistically significant relationship p= 0.000, demonstrating that knowledge and attitude towards the human papillomavirus are highly related (p<0.01).
