Conocimiento y actitud frente al virus papiloma humano en adolescentes de secundaria de la institución educativa Fe y Alegría, La Esperanza 2022

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal, tuvo el propósito de determinar si existe relación entre conocimiento y actitud frente al virus papiloma humano en adolescentes de secundaria de la institución educativa Fe y Alegría, La Esperanza 2022, para la recolección de datos se aplicaron dos cuestionarios a 136 estudiantes de la institución educativa, obteniéndose como resultado que los adolescentes presentaron en el 47.79% un nivel de conocimiento alto, el 43.38% presentó un nivel medio y el 8.82% un nivel bajo; en relación a la actitud frente al virus del VPH, el 91.91% de los adolescentes tuvieron una actitud favorable y el 8.09% actitud desfavorable. Según conocimiento y actitud en los adolescentes, el 47.79% presentaron conocimiento alto y una actitud favorable; el conocimiento medio y una actitud favorable se encuentra en el 39.71; en cambio, los estudiantes que presentaron conocimiento bajo, sólo el 4,41% presentó actitud favorable. Se logró determinar que existe una alta relación estadísticamente significativa p= 0.000, demostrando que el conocimiento y la actitud frente al virus papiloma humano están altamente relacionados (p<0.01).

The present cross-sectional correlational descriptive research work had the purpose of determining if there is a relationship between knowledge and attitude towards the human papilloma virus in secondary school adolescents of the Fe y Alegría educational institution, La Esperanza 2022, for the collection of data, two questionnaires were applied to 136 students of the educational institution, obtaining as a result that adolescents presented a high level of knowledge in 47.79%, 43.38% presented a medium level and 8.82% a low level; In relation to the attitude towards the HPV virus, 91.91% of adolescents had a favorable attitude and 8.09% an unfavorable attitude. According to knowledge and attitude in adolescents, 47.79% presented high knowledge and a favorable attitude; the average knowledge and a favorable attitude is found at 39.71; On the other hand, the students who presented low knowledge, only 4.41% presented a favorable attitude. It was possible to determine that there is a high statistically significant relationship p= 0.000, demonstrating that knowledge and attitude towards the human papillomavirus are highly related (p<0.01).
