Determine the association between the nutritional status of pregnant adolescents and the weight of the newborn at the Bagua Support Hospital, in 2022 Material and Methods: This is an analytical, observational, correlational, cross-sectional study. Results: 43.7% of pregnant adolescents between 12 and 17 years old presented a thin nutritional status and 35.6% presented a normal nutritional status. 58.6% of the newborns were underweight and 39.1% had a normal weight. The nutritional status of the pregnant woman (γ=0.940), pregestational BMI (r=0.739), adequate and high maternal weight gain (γ=0.872; γ=1) and prenatal control (γ=0.852) have a high rating . and positive with the weight of the newborn, this relationship was also statistically significant (p<0.5). Maternal hemoglobin (r=0.396) presents a weak positive evaluation, this relationship was also statistically significant (p<0.5). Parity (tau b kendall= -0.073) is not related to the weight of the newborn, nor is it statistically significant (p>0.05). Conclusions: The nutritional status of the pregnant adolescent is associated with the weight of the newborn. The majority of pregnant adolescents had a nutritional status of thinness and the majority of newborns had low birth weight. Pregestational BMI, adequate and high maternal weight gain, and prenatal control have a high and significant positive correlation with the weight of the newborn. Maternal hemoglobin presents a weak and significant positive correlation with newborn weight. Parity is not related and is not statistically significant with the weight of the newborn
