The present thesis entitled “seismic vulnerability analysis of single-family buildings in the monserrate-Trujillo urbanization through the AIS method“ which has as its main objective to evaluate the condition of 5 houses located in the Monserrate-Trujillo urbanization, using the conditions of the AIS to determine the degree of seismic vulnerability of these buildings, classifying them as low, medium or high. To do this, sclerometry tests were carried out to obtain information on the compressive strength of the structural elements of the houses, which presented resistances higher than f'c 210 kg / cm2, however this value does not assure us that the houses are Due to this, modeling of the evaluated buildings was carried out in order to know their distortion in the event of an earthquake, the program that was used is Etabs, in which based on the structural plans that were made with the taking of measurements In the field visits, the static and dynamic analyzes of the structures were carried out, with which it was determined that 03 of the houses had mezzanine drifts within the normative parameters, however those that suffered modifications or extensions ended up obtaining structures susceptible to failure due to maximum torsion and mezzanine drifts higher than indicated in the regulations, due to the lack of of stiffness on the shortest side of the structures, in this way with the modeling data and the analysis of the structures according to the AIS Method, which by means of practical observation sheets it was possible to determine the vulnerability of the evaluated structures to earthquakes, Getting to determine that the vulnerability in the Monserrate urbanization corresponds to a medium vulnerability, due to the fact that it has structures that have grown in plan and height in an informal way, without technical support.
