The purpose of this research work is the evaluation of the existing pavement structure on Av. Teodoro Valcárcel in the section between Avenidas América Norte and Túpac Amaru, as well as the poor state of traffic it presents, by evaluating the efforts and deformations that occur under traffic loads, using the software developed by Huang. Y.H from the University of Kentucky, as part of a proposal for improvement of the pavement evaluated in the same criteria. From the application of the software to the pavement structure and the one that has to do with the law of the asphalt system, the relationship between the relationship between the number and the load repetitions for a design period of 20 years and number of application load allowable result greater than unity for the deformation failure criterion (Np / Nd = 410) For the proposed pavement structure, an initial structure was determined and the AASHTO 93 method was used, for the criteria of the Highway Manual, Soils and Pavements (MTC) section, which was used as fatigue and deformation failure errors of the Asphalt Institute, showing in both cases a relation between the number of load repetitions for a design period of 20 years and the number of permissible load applications, less than one (Np / Nf = 0.59 and Np / Nd = 0.73 for the case of double axle single axle load and in addition: Np / Nf = 0.57 and Np / Nd = 0.68 for the tandem axle load case) The mechanical empirical criteria were used, it was determined that the proposed structure has a useful life of 27.84 years.
