This project aims to develop an application of Virtual Reality with which it is sought to detect any visual acuity problema (refractive errors), in order to reduce the margin of error found currently in traditional tests and in the same way, remove any degree of subjectivity that can be found in this test. The results allow us to conclude that the application can function as a triage or screening tool, by achieving a precision of 97.79% (a margin of error of 2.21%) after an analysis of results after its deployment. Despite the 10% margin of difference between estimated distances (simulated in Virtual Reality) and real distances, the contrast with the results of the traditional Snellen test validates its use as a myopia detection tool. This in turn validates the hypothesis raised regarding the use of the virtual reality application with the traditional process of detecting myopia in children between 5 to 9 years.
