OBJECTIVE: To assess whether Primary Health Care is associated with adequate control of chronic metabolic diseases in Piura Health Facilities. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Observational, analytical-cross-sectional study in a population within three health facilities in the city of Piura, with collection of secondary data using a sample cut-off method through the use of the Google Forms virtual platform for self-administered survey collection and data association with a significance level of p<0.05 in Piura. RESULTS: Significant differences were found among participants in terms of sex, age, occupation, level of education, and health facility. Significant associations were observed between primary health care and the control of chronic metabolic diseases such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and type 2 diabetes mellitus, with certain demographic factors. These findings suggest a possible relationship between primary health care, self-care, and treatment adherence in Piura health facilities, highlighting the importance of considering socioeconomic and demographic factors in managing these health conditions. CONCLUSION: Primary Health Care is associated with adequate control of chronic metabolic diseases in Piura Health Facilities
