This thesis deals with the analysis of the influence of polymer Polycom on the bear ing capacity for the road between Acos Vinchos – Colpa, in Ayacucho. Aiming to determine the influence of Polycom polymer on the bearing capacity of the road base and propose this polymer for a better performance of CBR in the soil mixture. The research will be of the applied and experimental type, in which it seeks to evaluate the physical-mechanical properties, under the methodology of the Materials Testing Manual RD N° 18 – 2016 – MTC/14, for which, Laboratory tests were performed, where its moisture content was determined, granulometric analysis by sieving, consistency limits and modified Proctor, in order to determine the CBR values for each soil and the influence of the Polycom polymer. Then, the processing of all the data obtained from the laboratory tests was carried out, determining the physical-mechanical properties of the soil, both from the Colpa quarry, Km 11 + 150 quarry and soil mixture, the % of CBR obtained from the granular bases was evaluated, according to NTP 339.145. Being able to analyze the quarries studied, both comply with the CBR as subgrade, but the quarry Km 11 + 150, does not meet the strength necessary for a base, as regulated by the MTC. Considering the mixture of these two soils for the improvement of the % of CBR, but also does not reach the stipulated resistance, so Polycom polymer was added to the mix to increase CBR, meeting the stipulations for a pavement base. Finally, we will conclude that the % of CBR of the soil in its natural state are: Colpa quarry 98.96%, Quarry Km 11 + 150 53.63%, Soil mixture 71.00% and Soil Mix + Polycom 105.00%, the latter being the % of CBR that meets the requirements established by the MTC for paving bases, with the important advantage of transportability and that we have distributed the sample extraction points in a more economical way.
