Parasitosis are very frequent regarding children infection caused by enterobius vermicularis also known as oxyuriasis which is one of them, this is a helminthiasis that is highly related to social and economic conditions, that is why this parasitosis has a high incidence in underdeveloped countries like ours due to the deficit of basic sanitary measures, overcrowd and poverty (1)(4). The WHO indicates that parasitic diseases represent a serious health problem (5). In Latin America, it is estimated that more than 40 million children are exposed to some type of parasite (6). MINSA reported that 40% of children have parasites, finding a higher incidence in the Amazon with 60% of the total (7). The prevalence of Enterobius vermicularis in the región of La Libertad is 21.31% (8). Oxiurasis is characterized by the presence of symptoms such as anal itching, genital invasion caused by the incorrect perianal hygiene technique, abdominal pain located in the right iliac fossa that is often confused with the clinical characteristics of appendicitis, but this pain is known as appendicular colic which is a chronic abdominal pain located in the right iliac fossa, slight elevation of the temperature without leukocytosis or other inflammatory signs. It was found that most of the cases ended up in appendectomy and pinworms were observed during surgery or, when analyzed for pathology, no appendix inflammation was found, but rather an infestation by pinworms (9 - 21). For this reason, special attention must be paid to patients with episodic abdominal pain without elevated leukocytes, being essential to perform more exhaustive tests, such as stool examination and, if positive, start with empirical parasitic treatment
