The present observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective cohort research; It will be applied in the Psychiatry service of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital, during the months of July 2016 to May 2019, in order to determine the association between the severity of insomnia and the presence of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The sample will consist of 98 patients with a diagnosis of OCD of which 49 will present the diagnosis of OCD with insomnia and the other 49 patients will present the diagnosis of OCD but will not refine insomnia. The assessment instruments that will be used will be the insomnia severity index (ISI) and a data collection sheet specifying the time of OCD disease, the predominant type of obsession, as well as the time of insomnia and its severity according to the scale referred to above. The results will be processed through the EPIDAT program, chi-square tests and obtaining the RR, subsequently, they will be presented in single and double entry tables, as well as in relevance graphs. The conclusions will be used for local and national registration of the variables under study, as well as for future research.
