Nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en estudiantes de las Instituciones Educativas Juan Pablo II y Dean Saavedra. Trujillo – 2022

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de los estudiantes de las Instituciones Educativas Juan Pablo II y Dean Saavedra Trujillo - 2022 Material y método: El trabajo de investigación fue observacional de corte transversal, donde se evaluó a 291 alumnos del nivel secundario de dos instituciones educativas. Se aplicó un cuestionario virtual, de opción múltiple, sobre salud bucal; el cuestionario constó de 16 preguntas, y fue validado por juicio de expertos con un resultado V de Aiken de 0.997 y un Alfa de Cronbach 0.80. El nivel de conocimiento fue clasificado como bueno, regular y malo. Se utilizó la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado, con la finalidad de comprobar si las variables están asociadas, con un valor de significancia p<0.05 Resultados: El nivel de conocimiento en la I. E. Dean Saavedra en su mayor proporción es bueno representado por un 54%, así mismo, en la I.E. Juan Pablo II el 53% presentó un nivel bueno. Al comparar los resultados se observó que ambas instituciones educativas obtuvieron un nivel de conocimiento bueno. No existió asociación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la institución educativa, siendo el valor de p > 0.05. Con respecto al nivel de conocimiento según grados de nivel secundario se obtuvo que el nivel de conocimiento es bueno, en la mayoría de los estudiantes del primer, segundo y tercer año. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de los estudiantes evaluados de la I. E. Dean Saavedra y la I.E. Juan Pablo II, en su mayoría es bueno

Determine the level of knowledge of the students of the Juan Pablo II and Dean Saavedra Educational Institutions about oral health. Trujillo – 2022. Method: The research work was observational and cross-sectional, in which 291 secondary school students from two educational institutions were evaluated. A virtual multiple-choice questionnaire on oral health was applied; the questionnaire consisted of 16 questions and was validated by expert judgment with an Aiken V score of 0.997 and a Cronbach's alpha of 0.80. The level of knowledge was classified as good, fair, and poor. The Chi-square statistical test was used to test whether the variables are associated, with a significance value of p<0.05. Results: The level of knowledge at I. E. Dean Saavedra is mostly good, represented by 54%; likewise, at I. E. Juan Pablo II, 53% presented a good level. When comparing the results, it was observed that both educational institutions obtained a good level of knowledge. There was no association between the level of knowledge and the educational institution, with a p value > 0.05. With respect to the level of knowledge according to secondary school grades, it was found that the level of knowledge is good in most of the students in the first, second and third years. Conclusions: The level of oral health knowledge of the students evaluated from I. E. Dean Saavedra and I.E. Juan Pablo II, in the majority is good
