The investigation called “Evaluation of quarry Km 0+860 and Carabamba in the structural design of flexible pavement of stretch of road DF -Li 119, population center of Ancush, province of Julcán, department of La Libertad” the main objective was determination soil's physical-mechanical characteristics and loan materials of quarries in order to achieve an optimal structural design of a flexible pavement, said traffic is very important in this populated center, since it is determined as a third-class highway due to high traffic, particularly rural combustion, which is directed by the residents to the surrounding towns. to supply the agricultural and educational needs of the sector. For the aforementioned and following the corresponding regulations established by the MTC (Ministry of Transport and Communications), variables such as the structural design for which the volume of vehicular traffic, function of the road, level of serviceability, structural number and characteristics of the soil and the exploration of quarries, for which a study of quarries was carried out to determine the characteristics of the base and sub-base layers according to the Manual of General Technical Specifications for Construction (EG-2013). For the structural design a SN (Structural Number) of 1.88 was determined, a design period (T) of 20 years, the Design Equivalent Axis (W18) is 317,051.62 EE, this value was rounded to 320,000.00 EE to have a conservative design. and an analytical calculation was carried out using the AASHTO-93 equation, thus yielding a thickness of the rolling layer of 2.5 cm, a thickness of the base folder of 20 cm. and a sub-base folder with a thickness of 15 cm, thus obtaining an economically viable design.
