Objective: To determine the association between molecular profile, menopausal and premenopausal status in patients with breast cancer from hospital III ESSALUD José Cayetano Heredia Piura 2015-2017. Methodology: Analytical, correlational, retrospective and cross-sectional study; The sample was determined by 155 patients with breast cancer from a population of 277 patients, which was determined according to the Epi Info program. Results: The average age was 57.2 years (SD: 0.87), the molecular profile that was predominant was the luminal with 64 cases (26 luminal A and 38 luminal B) in 49.29% and triple negative presenting in 29.68% of the patients No association was found between menopause with the different types of molecular profile. In the multivariate analysis, it was found that menopause increases the prevalence rate of presenting luminal breast cancer B 1.6 times (p <0.01, RPa: 1.6 CI = 1.35-1.99). On the other hand, menopause increases by 1.5 times the prevalence ratio of breast cancer with triple negative molecular profile (p <0.01, RPa 1.5 CI = 1.2- 1.9). Pre menopause is associated with Luminal A type of cancer (p = 0.008) and pre menopause increased by 2.7 times the prevalence rate of luminal cancer A (p <0.01 RPa 2.7 CI = 1.72 - 4.2). Conclusion: There is no association between molecular profile and menopausal status in patients with breast cancer. But if there is an association between pre menopause and the type of cancer Luminal A.
