To determine the factors associated with the perception of fear during medical care in the pediatric population of Piura 2023. Material and methods: Analytical-Cross-Sectional Study conducted within the facilities of Hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia Piura, specifically in the Pediatrics department, covering outpatient, inpatient, and emergency areas. Results: In 2023, the analysis in Piura reveals a significant trend in the age variable (p=0.04) and diversity in age groups. 58.17% are female and 41.83% are male, with no statistical association with the results (p=0.064). Differences in the type of caregiver are significant (p=0.05), with the mother being predominant (42.79%). The presence of previous diseases, especially asthma with a significant trend (N.T, p=0.05), and an average of 4.25 annual medical visits are noteworthy. Inappropriate touching shows a significant trend (p=0.02). The person with whom you live other than a father or mother, the number of medical visits in the last year, and the report of having experienced inappropriate touching by health personnel, are independent associated factors of medical fear. These results emphasize the complexity of the perception of the environment during children's health care, highlighting the importance of addressing specific factors to improve children's experience. Conclusions: There are factors associated with the perception of fear during medical care in the pediatric population of Piura 2023.
