Cartavio.
Cartavio is a populated center, located on the left bank of the Chicama River, in the valley that bears the same name, it has a population between 20 and 30 thousand inhabitants, its geographical location places it in the Santiago de Cao district, Ascope province, La Libertad department, on the north coast of Peru. On April 15, 1964 the Cartavio school opened its doors to the studious youth of Cartavio and the Chicama Valley (this was the first school that was created on the sugar estates of Peru). From that year its history as a National School begins, today called the “CARTAVIO” EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION of the province of Ascope. Since then, the Educational Institution has had no improvement in infrastructure, spending 57 years from its construction to the present day; For this reason, an improvement in the Cartavio educational infrastructure is being considered.
