temprana (ORa: 1.75; IC 95% 1.20-2.56; p = 0.004), violencia física (ORa: 2.47;
IC 95% 1.68-3.63) y violencia psicológica (ORa: 1.93; IC 95% 1.20-3.09), (p =
To establish the antecedent of early menarche as a factor associated with anxiety in adolescent students of public schools in the Trujillo province. MATERIALS AND METHOD: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted, which evaluated 718 adolescents in 5th grade of secondary school belonging to 14 public educational centers of Trujillo province. The Odds Ratio (OR) was calculated for the bivariate analysis and the multivariate analysis was performed using logistic regression to establish the associated factors. RESULTS: The prevalence of anxiety was 22.34%. Multivariate analysis identified early menarche (ORa: 1.73, 95% CI 1.20-2.50, p = 0.003), physical violence (ORa: 2.76, 95% CI 1.90- 4.01) and psychological violence (ORa: 2.40, 95% CI 1.53-3.76), (p = 0.001, respectively) to be associated with anxiety and were part of the prediction model. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that Early Menarche is a factor associated for Anxiety in adolescents. The variables physical violence and psychological violence had greater significance. These findings show potential factors that could be addressed through preventive measures to prevent anxiety disorders in the future of women.
