To determine the impact of the main oral health alterations and sociodemographic factors, on the quality of life of preschoolers who attend the nursery-kinder of the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital, 2019. Material and method: A descriptive, correlational cross-sectional study was carried out. The population was made up of all preschoolers from 2 to 5 years old who attended the nursery-kinder of the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital during the period from November 2019 to March 2020; and that they met the selection criteria. The ceod index of each preschool was determined, for dentoalveolar traumatic injuries the criteria of Andreasen, 2007 were considered and for malocclusion according to Baume, being recorded in an ad hod file. Subsequently, the quality of life questionnaire and the NBI were filled out to the parent and / or guardian of each preschool. With the data obtained, two-dimensional frequency tables were elaborated. The impact on the quality of life in preschool children due to the main oral health alterations and sociodemographic factors was also determined using the non parametric test of independence of Chi Square criteria (X2) with a significance level of 5% (p <0.05) ; using the IBM SPSS Version 25 statistical package. Results: It was found that there is a highly significant relationship between dental caries and quality of life in preschoolers who go to the nursery-kinder of the Cayetano Heredia Hospital, where a good quality of life was found with the absence of caries (68 %) and when caries is present, this percentage decreases notably (2.2%) (p <0.001). Conclusion: Dental caries is the oral alteration that has a high impact on the Quality of life in preschool children who attend the nursery-kinder of the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia, 2019.
