This research addresses the influence of the proportion of aloe vera mucilage on permeability and compressive strength; in comparison to the properties of a concrete made with Pacasmayo type MS cement, in order to find the ideal proportion of green addition that is needed to generate an improvement in the physical properties of the concrete. In the construction sector, the loss of the lifetime of structures exposed to a corrosive environment generates great damage to the building, in addition to a costly repair, which, in many cases, fails to recover the original structural integrity. This is where the importance of the research for new additions that are not only effective but also affordable and easy to obtain comes into play, which would also allow the structure to keep its properties intact. For this investigation, the characterization of the materials involved consisted of: cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and aloe vera mucilage; and elaborate 5 mix designs considering a concrete resistance of f’c = 210 kg / cm2, an anti-saltpeter concrete and a concrete with additions of 0.9%, 1.2% and 1.5% aloe; in order to corroborate the hypothesis regarding the improvement of concrete properties with the use of 1.5% aloe vera as an addition and subsequently, compare these results with the preventive benefits of the use of concrete made with anti-saltpeter cement. The purpose of the research includes increasing the compressive strength and increasing the workability of the concrete, ensuring that the structure complies with the lifetime period for which it was designed, helping to reduce the posible expenses in subsequent repairs
