The purpose of this research is to evaluate the behavior of the water supply system in the company Transports Valcar through the Monte Carlo simulation. The current distribution system showed many deficiencies as will be observed in the results obtained, many of these shortcomings were produced by bad distribution strategy, bad transport management, bad decision making regarding the choice of customers. For them, the data provided by the company were collected, which were worked under the simulation methodology obtaining in the first instance the relative and accumulated probabilities. Once this data was obtained, the matrix was constructed, creating intervals that together with the pseudorandom numbers would simulate the behavior of the water supply system. The values of the matrix helped us to create performance indicators to compare the real data vs the simulation, obtaining a 24% saving in resources. In this context, the evaluation of the model proposed in contrast to the historical data, it was possible to show that there are transport costs that do not have a linear behavior vs the demands. The Monte Carlo analysis, although not a well-known method, is capable of simulating a behavior based on routes and costs, allowing to optimize the reliability of the distribution system. The analysis presented that is shown in the thesis helps us to visualize that there are factors that are not being taken due importance and which are affecting the costs of the company.
