The present study aimed to determine the psychometric properties Questionnaire for the Symptomatic Measurement of Stress in students of three Private Universities of Piura, based on the pyramid theory of A. Maslow, the sample was composed of 725 people from three universities in the city of Piura, respectively in the school of psychology. For the construction of the questionnaire was initiated based on Maslow's theory, therefore the creation of the reagents according to the dimensions of the academic stress variable, for which an opinion was obtained in specialists on the subject for the validity of each item and its respective analysis. Then the pilot test was applied where the reliability obtained a result of .816 in Cronbach's alpha which means that the questionnaire is acceptable, in addition the Pearson item-test correlations were made with values ranging between .286 and .649 being all highly significant items p<.01 and correlating correctly with the instrument. The instrument has 14 reagents where Aiken values were established above .50 and with a 95% CI. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed with two models to finally establish values of a GFI, TLI, and GFI greater than .90, the RMSEA .046 and a chi square on the degrees of freedom of 2. 356.Se earned a Cronbach's alpha of .819. At the end, the evaluation was carried out through the cut-off points and the percentile norms
