The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of mother-child skin-to-skin contact and the maternal emotional bond at the Cajabamba 2023 Support Hospital. For this purpose, a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was designed. The sample was made up of 108 mothers from the obstetric center unit. The data were organized and analyzed statistically, obtaining the following results: regarding the characteristic effectiveness, in 86% of the mothers observed, skin-to-skin contact was effective and the maternal emotional bond was adequate; In the continuity characteristic, it is observed that in 80% of the mothers surveyed, skin-to-skin contact is discontinuous and the maternal emotional bond is adequate. On the other hand, in the opportunity characteristic, it is reflected that in 82% skin-to-skin contact is observed. skin is timely and the maternal emotional bond is adequate and in the privacy characteristic we found that 81% of mothers did have privacy during skin-to-skin contact and the maternal emotional bond was adequate. Finally, it was determined that there is no relationship between the characteristics of skin-to-skin contact and the maternal emotional bond, finding a significance level of 0.05.
