The present study aimed to assess the physiological performance, the productive parameters and the economic profitability due to the inclusion of Ganoderma lucidum extract powder in the drinking water. 480 one-day-old Cobb500 chicks were evaluated for 49 days under intensive rearing conditions. A Completely Randomized Design was applied with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions corresponding: T0 (no extract), T1 (6 mg/kg), T2 (12 mg/kg) y T3 (18 mg/kg) of body weight for 7 consecutive days in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th weeks. Blood samples were collected to determine the metabolic and hematological profile on days 1, 8, 29, 42 and 50 of age. Results were analyzed using the ANOVA analysis of variance and Tukey’s test. The positive effect of the mushroom supplementation was reflected on parameters evaluated compared to the control T0. The best results were obtained by T3, showing statistical significance (P<0.05) in body weight, weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, mortality, hemoglobin and transaminases. It is concluded that the inclusion of Ganoderma lucidum mushroom improves the physiological, productive and economic performance of broiler
