To determine the consumption grade of caffeine is a factor related with anxious and depressive in medical students. Material and methods: An analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out in which 102 medical university students were included, according to selection criteria which were divided according to the degree of caffeine consumption (low, moderate and high), calculated the chi square and the degree of significance. Results: No significant differences were observed regarding the variables age, sex, academic year y origin among students with low, moderate or high caffeine consumption (p>0.05), of the 102 students, 31% had anxiety and 18% had depression, of those who had anxiety, 81% had high caffeine consumption and of those who had depression, 78% had high caffeine consumption. Conclusion: There is a relationship progressive between caffeine consumption grade and anxious and depressive in medical students (es_PE)
