Objective: The present work seeks to determine the factors that predict admission to the ICU in pediatric patients with a diagnosis of Dengue at Hospital III José Cayetano Heredia (HRJCH) during the period from January to August 2023. Materials and methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was used, information was collected from the medical records of 269 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of dengue who were hospitalized in the different surveillance areas who met the inclusion criteria and in the established period, these data were recorded. in an Excel database for statistical analysis. Results: The total population was 269 pediatric patients with 54.3% female and 4.5% admitted to the ICU. The clinical manifestations that presented a greater probability of admission to the ICU were: tachycardia with 4.6 times more probability (OR=4.69;CI:1.4-15.3), fluid accumulation with 9.4 times more probability, pleural effusion with 14.5 times (OR=14.523;CI :3.77-55.81), neurological manifestations such as altered state of consciousness and cerebral edema were 9.5 times (OR=9.5;CI:2.8-31.69) and 23.2 times more likely (OR=23.27;CI:1.36-397.03) respectively than patients who did not present these manifestations. Conclusions: The predictive model shows that presenting altered state of consciousness, cerebral edema and fluid accumulation results in a hospitalized pediatric patient being 65 times more likely to be admitted to the ICU
