In the City of Trujillo, Civic center, the supply of drinking water is of two types: Surface of the drinking water treatment plant in Alto Moche and groundwater, which are the main sources of supply and is a key element for its developing. In this framework, the aquifers housed in dunes environments are the main stores with which it is counted for the supply destined to the urban and rural use. The present work focuses on the evaluation of one of the main groundwater bodies of the City of Trujillo, Civic Center. The objectives set out in this work have been: a) to evaluate the drinking water facilities from the water treatment plant located in upper Moche to the Civic Center of Trujillo. b) Determine the inventory of operational deep wells of the Civic Center. c) Determine the reservoirs constructed and that underground water is stored by pumping. d) Propose a Type Reservoir for the construction near each deep well so that with its Pumping System there is underground water supply and it is stored for contingency cases. e) Determine the total total volume of groundwater, stored in the proposed reservoirs, for consumption and provide solutions in cases of contingency. f) Carry out an environmental impact assessment (EIA). The work methodology consisted of the search, compilation, ordering, classification, evaluation and analysis of antecedent information and the description of the different aspects related to the hydrogeological and hydrodynamic characterization of the aquifer.
