With the objective of identifying adverse reactions in antimicrobials in neonates in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo, a study was made of qualitative type simple descriptive design, in a sample of 298 clinical histories of neonates selected by simple random sampling that meet the criteria of exclusion and inclusion to those who were applied a frequent data from 1.3% collections with 1%.0.0. Signs and symptoms of the most frequent pathologies: neonatal sepsis: respiratory distress with 53.6%, hypothony with 19.0%, cyanosis with 15.5%, bradycardia with 11.9%; the hyaline membrane: tachypnea with 54.4%, respiratory difficulty with 31.6%, and nasal flutter with 14.0%; Tachypnea pneumonia with 68.4% and cyanosis with 31.6%; and transient tachypnea cyanosis with 57.1% and respiratory distress with 42.9%. Antimicrobials that produced adverse reactions ampicillin plus gentamicin with 60.1%, ampicillin plus amikacin with 13.4%, vancomycin plus cefalexin 8.7, vancomycin plus ceftazidima with 7.0%, vancina plus ceftriazone 6.4%, cycyprocycine 0. The most frequent adverse reactions according to organs in neonates, for lung respiratory distress by 82.7% and other symptoms by 17.3%; for the heart, hypotension with 43.7% and tachycardia 56.3%; for the stomach, diarrhea with 100.0%; for the liver, jaundice with 100.0%; for the kidney, acute tubular necrosis with 75.0% and nephrotoxicity with 25.0%; for the skin the Rash cutaneous with 50.0%, hives with 33.3% and syndrome of the red man with 16.7%.
