INTRODUCTION: The general objective to determine the obstetric factors associated with anemia in puerperal adolescents of vaginal delivery and cesarean delivery in the hospital Jorge Reátegui Delgado Piura 2018 MATERIAL AND METHODS. Analytical, observational, descriptive, transversal and correlational study. The sample was constituted by 56 patients. The sample was calculated using the statistical program Epi info and its formula for known population and by means of expected proportions, of which 38 cases of vaginal delivery and 18 cases of cesarean delivery We retrospectively analyzed the variables of age, origin, level of studies, occupation, marital status, in both groups, and pre and post delivery obstetric factors such as macrosomia, preeclampsia, PPD, UTI, and volume lost in adolescents of cesarean delivery and prolonged labor, UTI, analgesia, precipitous expulsive, incomplete delivery , vaginal tear, and volume lost in adolescents of vaginal delivery. RESULTS: The 2 average age of the patients was 17 years, marginal urban origin, secondary education level and housewife occupation of the patients both for cesarean delivery and for vaginal delivery. Vaginal delivery 69.1% had mild anemia, 33.33% had moderate anemia and only 2.56% had severe anemia. Of the total number of patients treated by cesarean section, 50% had mild anemia, the other 50% had moderate anemia, and none had severe anemia. also, the precipitous expulsive increases in 1.36 times the prevalence ratio of moderate anemia (p: <0.001 RPa: 1.36, CI: 2.88 - 6.45) in puerperal vaginal delivery. The vaginal tear was associated with the development of anemia in the immediate puerperium (p = 0.03.
