This thesis report ““Analysis of the Properties of the Foundation Soil for the Design of Superficial Foundations in the La Barranca Sector, Moche, La Libertad““ has the purpose of evaluating the foundation soil, presenting its problems and providing a prompt solution. For this it is important to recognize the geotechnical conditions necessary for an adequate design of surface foundations. The choice of the study area, its location and the problems of the sector which they face are explained. Worrying land depredation suffered by the sector and the lack of construction planning, accompanied by informality in construction. There is continuity with the theoretical framework, the basis for its optimal understanding. The methodology used, putting together a strategic plan of everything that would be done and how, in this way the success of the following chapters is intended to be achieved. Calculation and development of the results, in the annexes section, is where each evidence is detailed, the type of soil that we managed to zone is what allowed us to present the proposals, including the design of continuous and isolated foundations with an offset depth at 1.50 meters. In this way an adequate and stable bearing capacity is guaranteed
