la Dispepsia funcional (OR:1,19; IC95%: 1,09-1,28).
Determine the Burnout Syndrome as a factor associated with functional dyspepsia in university teachers. Material and methods: The design of this study is cross-sectional observational; the surveys carried out on university professors were evaluated in a total of 213; Of all of them, 17 had a diagnosis of burnout syndrome and the other 196 did not have burnout syndrome. Odds Ratio and the chi-square test were obtained to determine if there is a relationship with functional dyspepsia. Results: Of the 213 university teachers, 17 have burnout syndrome and 196 do not. It was discovered that in 53.1% (n=104) of university professors who do not present Burnout Syndrome dyspepsia is absent, and in 100% (n=17) of university professors who present Burnout Syndrome also present functional dyspepsia. According to the results of the Chi-square test, it shows that there is a significant relationship (p<0.05) between Burnout syndrome and functional dyspepsia, obtaining a value of p=0.000, which indicates 95% reliability. Likewise, the Odds Ratio was calculated in the bivariate analysis and it was thus found that Burnout Syndrome is associated with functional Dyspepsia (OR: 1.19; 95% CI: 1.09-1.28). Conclusions: With the results obtained, the general research hypothesis of this study is demonstrated: Burnout Syndrome is a factor associated with functional dyspepsia
