The objective of this research work is to determine how public procurement processes affect budget execution in the district municipality of El Porvenir, Trujillo, period 2019. The target population was made up of all procurement and procurement selection processes and the budget execution of the district municipality of El Porvenir, for the 2019 period, the sample being the same as the population. The research method used was the descriptive correlational one, the information was extracted from the Logistics and Budget areas of the municipality, as well as from the friendly page of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, web page, where the information on the execution is concentrated budget, for this, the techniques of documentary analysis and observation were used. In the results obtained, it was found that the opening institutional budget 2019 was subject to constant modifications during the period, mainly due to the transfer of budget credits from other institutions, besides to the incorporation of supplementary credits, which from an initial budget of S / 17,379,609 included in 19 selection processes, varies to an amount of S / 42,700,701 in 63 selection processes: These variations implied different levels of execution, in what corresponds to the asset acquisitions (72%), contracting of services ( 89%) and contracting of works (38%). The budgetary impact of the contracting processes for the 2019 period was 53%, a level that qualifies as good. In this sense, it is concluded that the public procurement processes had a positive impact on the budget execution of the municipality studied during the 2019 period.
