In the present study, with the objective of identifying the bacteria causing bovine clinical mastitis in the district of Huanchaco, province of Trujillo, 28 milk samples were taken from the affected quarters of 18 cows with clinical signs of the disease for microbiological analysis; The samples were sown on Blood agar and MacConkey agar, incubating them at 37°C for 24 hours, then the corresponding biochemical tests were performed to identify the type of bacteria. In the results, contagious bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus were found with 43% (12/28) and Streptococcus agalactiae with 25% (7/28) and environmental bacteria such as Echerichia coli with 25% (7/28). and Klebsiella spp. with 7% (2/28); Likewise, a predisposition to infection of the right and left posterior mammary quarters was found with 32% (9/28) and 25% (7/28) respectively, followed by the right and left anterior mammary quarters with 21% (6 /28) each.
