To determine the factors associated with functional dyspepsia in workers of fast food establishments in shopping malls. MATERIAL AND METHODS: An observational, analytical cross-sectional study was carried out in the Mega Plaza and Plaza Santander shopping centers in Chimbote during the months of August and September 2021, in which 145 fast food establishment workers participated. RESULTS: The prevalence of dyspepsia was 37.24%. The bivariate analysis showed that female sex, alcohol consumption, insomnia, skipping breakfast, inadequate eating speed and BMI were associated with Functional Dyspepsia with a significance p <0.05. The multivariate analysis identified the variables independently associated with Functional Dyspepsia, where it was found that the risk factors that were significant (p<0.05) had an ORa>1. CONCLUSIONS: Functional Dyspepsia is present in almost 40% of fast food workers and factors such as female sex, BMI, insomnia, skipping breakfast and inadequate speed have a higher risk of Dyspepsia.
