Actually, the SARS - CoV2 virus, which originated the new coronavirus disease (COVID - 19), is declared a global pandemic. It has been shown that the incidence of the disease is low in the pediatric population, they present a more favorable clinical course compared to adults and the elderly. Thus, children are more likely to develop protective immune responses that lead to the development of mild clinical conditions, which in some cases can progress to severe or critical stages. With the progression of the pandemic; cases in children are on the rise and an inflammatory manifestation known as multisystemic inflammatory syndrome has emerged Therefore, it is essential to understand the pathogenesis of the disease and continue with the generation of information from clinical-epidemiological, laboratory and imaging perspectives, for the development of new preventive strategies that help to control in the future, the appearance of high rates of morbidity and mortality. This review provides a description of the clinical-laboratory and imagenologic aspects in patients under 18 years of age with a diagnosis of COVID-19.
