The research work aimed to determine the association of the level of knowledge about biosafety with the use of protective equipment in pediatric emergency nurses of the Hospital Belen de Trujillo, 2021. The study was correlational and cross-sectional; the sample was made and constituted by 30 nurses. Two instruments were applied to collect data, the first one that was used was a questionnaire to assess knowledge of biosafety and the second was a questionnaire to measure the use of personal protective equipment for the workers of the Hospital Belen de Trujillo, obtaining the following results: 76.67% of nurses had a high level of knowledge, 23.33% medium and 0% low. 73,33% of nurses had an appropiate use, and 26,67% had an inappropriate use. Therefore, it was evidenced that there is highly significant association (p=0)( 𝑋 2 = 20.64) between the level of knowledge about biosafety and the use of personal protective equipment in pediatric emergency nurses at Hospital Belén de Trujillo.
