Práctica de medidas preventivas asociada al conocimiento de Covid-19 en pacientes del centro odontológico del Valle– Casa Grande,2021

Abstract

El presente estudio es descriptivo, correlacional, se llevó a cabo con la finalidad de establecer la relación de la práctica de medidas preventivas con el conocimiento acerca de la COVID-19 en pacientes del Centro Odontológico del Valle-Casa Grande. La muestra estuvo constituida por 50 pacientes, a los que se le entregaron dos cuestionarios para evaluar ambas variables. En cuanto a la variable relacionada con la práctica de medidas preventivas, se comprobó que el 70% de pacientes tienen adecuadas prácticas y el 30% presentan inadecuadas prácticas. En la variable de conocimiento sobre COVID-19, el 60% de los pacientes tienen conocimiento alto y el 40% conocimiento medio. Finalmente existe asociación de la práctica de medidas preventivas y el nivel de conocimiento sobre la COVID-19 con un valor p=0.025.

The present study is descriptive, correlational, was carried out in order to establish the relationship between the practice of preventive measures and knowledge of COVID-19 in patients at the Centro Odontológico del Valle-Casa Grande. The sample consisted of 50 patients, who were given two questionnaires to evaluate both variables. Regarding the variable related to the practice of preventive measures, it was found that 70% of the patients had adequate practices and 30% had inadequate practices. In the variable of knowledge about COVID-19, 60% of the patients had high knowledge and 40% had medium knowledge. Finally, there is an association between the practice of preventive measures and the level of knowledge about COVID-19 with a p value = 0.025.
