Determine if the Prolonged Intergenesic Period is a risk factor for Anemia in pregnant women in the Third Trimester Material and methods: An analytical, observational, retrospective and case-control study was carried out. The study population consisted of 450 patients, distributed in two groups: with and without Anemia in the Third Trimester. Results The presence of anemic and non-anemic pregnant women with Prolonged Intergenesic Period was 57.14% and 71.27% respectively. The Odds Ratio of prolonged Intergenic Period in relation to Anemia in pregnant women was 0.537 (p <0.05). Conclusions: Patients with a Prolonged Intergenesic Period have a lower risk of Anemia in the Third Trimester compared to patients with a Non Prolonged Intergenesic Period at the Albrecht hospital in Trujillo
