The purpose of this research was to demonstrate the positive economic impact of using industrial waste sludge obtained from the PTARI as fertilizer and to demonstrate its use in the planting of dekalb 7508 hybrid corn in the San Lucas de Colan reforestation project in Paita. It was determined that Produmar can spend around S/ 133,392. 99 per year, this cost can vary according to the amount of m3 , the type of classification, and the tariffs that each EOR (waste operating company) manages. As a result, it was necessary to analyze the properties of the sludge and the soil, giving us positive results, that is, the fertilizer is suitable to be applied to the soil for agricultural purposes, because it has low values of heavy metals, is free of pathogens, has a favorable nutritional content and complies with the maximum limits allowed by international environmental standards, to put into practice, we worked in an area of 200m2 of the reforestation project, dividing the land into two blocks, block I will be where the organic fertilizer under study will be applied, this industrial sludge was previously reduced its percentage of humidity up to 41% thus obtaining the fertilizer, and block II will be our witness, once the fertilizer was applied and planting began, 10 samples were taken from each block and analyzed for 70 days, having as a result that the corn with treatment (Fertilizer-Block I) measures 1. The same was done at harvest, measuring the length, diameter, number of rows and weight of the corn cob, concluding that the yield of the crop with fertilizer is 13% higher than the yield of the crop without fertilizer. With this data, the cost of the machinery necessary to convert the sludge into fertilizer was calculated, which would mean an investment of S/ 162,320.33 in machinery and operating costs. To determine the savings by using the sludge as fertilizer versus continuing to pay for the services of another company, the Annual Uniform Equivalent Cost (UEC) method was used over a 10-year horizon for both, concluding that the production of fertilizer from the sludge will allow us to save S/ 22,036.05
