The main objective of this research study was to improve the operational efficiency in the finished product warehouse of Melissa S.A.C., which was measured by the productivity index. The study began by collecting information on sales revenue, as well as the amount purchased on a monthly basis for each of the 42 products found in the warehouse, which constituted the general population and from which a sample of 29 finished products was obtained, which was obtained using the ABC model, taking into account the sales revenue as the unit of analysis. Then the inventory management diagnosis was made for each product in the sample, obtaining a coefficient of variation greater than 20% for each one, a result that allowed me to choose the periodic review model and that once applied to the sample, a productivity of 1.43 and a profitability of 0.50 for the period 2021 was obtained. Subsequently, the projection of the demand for the period 2022 and the application of the chosen model was carried out, obtaining as a result an increase in productivity from 1.43 to 1.64, which represents 14.70%, as well as a profitability from 0.50 to 0.64, which represents 26.92%.
