To determine the relationship between Domestic Violence and the relational risk mother - newborn in the Alto Trujillo Health Center. El Porvenir - 2020, a correlational design study was carried out, in 166 puerperal women to whom an instrument of the Domestic Violence Measurement Scale (VIFJ4) and the Mother Newborn Relationship Assessment Guideline score scale were applied. It was found that 99.9% of the puerperal women attended registered domestic violence at some point in their lives and the levels of domestic violence recorded were mild in 34.9%, moderate in 54.8% and severe in 10.2%. The type of relational risk mother - newborn in the postpartum women was high risk with 60.8% and low risk with 39.2%. The relationship between domestic violence and mother-newborn relational risk has a moderate positive significance level (Rho = 0.654; p= 0.000; alpha = 0.05), according to Spearman's coefficient. From this investigation it was concluded that the domestic violence suffered by puerperal women affects the relational risk of the mother - newborn.
