To determine the association between advanced hepatic fibrosis and cardiovascular risk in adults with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted, collecting medical history data from adults aged 40 to 65 treated at an outpatient Internal Medicine clinic between the years 2018 and 2023. A total of 262 adults who met the selection criteria were included. Pearson's Chi-Square test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Out of the 262 adults, 9 of them had advanced hepatic fibrosis, of which 3 (33.3%) had low cardiovascular risk, 5 (55.6%) had moderate cardiovascular risk, and 1 (11.1%) had high to critical cardiovascular risk. On the other hand, 253 of them did not have elevated hepatic fibrosis, of which 180 (71.1%) had low cardiovascular risk, 60 (23.7%) had moderate cardiovascular risk, and 13 (5.1%) had high to critical cardiovascular risk. According to the Chi-Square test, there was no statistically significant association between advanced hepatic fibrosis and cardiovascular risk (p=0.052). Conclusion: There is no association between advanced hepatic fibrosis and cardiovascular risk in adults with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
