Abstract: Determinar si el tinnitus se asocia a la calidad de vida en pacientes con presbiacusia en el Hospital de especialidades básicas La Noria de Trujillo, 2022.
Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio transversal, analítico, observacional; en 52 pacientes con diagnóstico de presbiacusia, que cumplieran con criterios de inclusión y exclusión. La información obtenida se procesó en el programa SPSS 26, se utilizó el estadístico del chi cuadrado para encontrar la asociación entre las variables.
Resultados: No se apreciaron diferencias significativas respecto a las variables edad, sexo, grado de instrucción, hipertensión arterial y diabetes mellitus en el grupo con buena o mala calidad de vida en pacientes con presbiacusia (p>0.05), la frecuencia de tinnitus en el grupo de pacientes con presbiacusia y mala calidad de vida fue 85%, la frecuencia de tinnitus en el grupo de pacientes con presbiacusia y buena calidad de vida fue 51%, el tinnitus es factor asociado a mala calidad de vida en pacientes con presbiacusia la cual fue significativa (p<0.05).
Conclusiones: El tinnitus se asocia a mala calidad de vida en pacientes con presbiacusia en el Hospital de especialidades básicas La Noria de Trujillo, 2022.
