To determine what types of attachment styles are factors associated with panic disorder in users treated at the Moche Community Mental Health Center. Materials and Methods: A Cross-sectional investigation, 121 patients were evaluated, who were treated in the psychiatry service through an external office at the Moche community mental health center December 2021 - June 2022; who met the selection criteria. The Bartholomew and Horowitz questionnaire was used. Results: The fearful attachment style is associated with the development of panic disorder with a significance of p<0.05; an OR= 7.0; with a confidence interval [1,265–38,734]. Likewise, the secure attachment style is associated with cases of non-panic with a significance of p<0.05 and an OR=0.5. In addition, the multivariate analysis identified the socioeconomic factors associated with panic disorder as the type of occupation, unemployment with a significance p<0.05 and OR= 6.94; with a confidence interval of [1,269-37,945]; and the type of student occupation with a significance p<0.05 and an OR=14.57; with a confidence interval of [1,274-166,567]. Conclusions: The type of fearful attachment style is and the type of occupation and unemployment are students associated with panic disorder.
